inside download the trial version as its free - use it for 30 days. If you like it, then think about buying it.

ouch@ Steiff bear - I don't know the first thing about collectibles but even I know what a Steiff bear is.

Went out for something to eat and to watch a film:
£1.40 car park
£8.75 dinner at Nandos
£6.93 cinema
which all equals a cheap and fun night out.

My friend and I are such old women. We go for an early dinner and film and like to be back home by 8 pm!! It means we still get an evening and are not knackered.

NK5BM3 · 22/03/2014 20:54

£50 on Aldi. And then £23 at Sainsburys but included clothes for the DCs. Oh and £11 at farm shop. Bought a big 25kg of potatoes plus cauliflower, sweet potatoes etc.

I'm stocking up for when I'm gone I guess. I leave for a work trip in a week for a week.

Cooked a big pot of curry that will do me and dh for a few days (and perhaps freeze some) and a huge lasagne for the DCs. Will cook some more tomorrow. I can only do so much on weekends!

AdoraBell · 22/03/2014 21:13

Audit great about the ballet pumps.

Cadbury glad you had a nice time with friend, and without busting the bank.

ilovepicnmix · 22/03/2014 21:16

Realised that im away without my make up. There is only a wee boots near where we are so I ended up spending 27 on foundation and powder. Now I'm thinking I should take it back and just stop being so vain. Surely I can go a week with no make up? Can you even return make up?

ilovepicnmix · 22/03/2014 21:18

Coolcadbury - that sounds like a great night. Im asleep if I go to the cinema too late.

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/03/2014 22:14

I suppose if its unopened make up.

Thanks for the link fluffy I think I will try that. I had the Thai leftovers tonight and it was lovely. I made pizza for the others using the bread maker to make the dough. A very frugal tea. There should have been enough left for lunch tomorrow but ds 1&2 are eating it just now arrh!

AdoraBell · 22/03/2014 22:32

Forgot to say, we had lunch outHmm DH, and he got a 15% discount just for being bloody cheeky enough to ask Grin

I want Thomasina Miers's book on Mexican food. I will content myself with t'internet recipes and Youtube.

I also want a sausage sandwich made with Sainsbo's sausages. Ain't happening.

ilovepicnmix · 23/03/2014 06:16

Thanks fluffy

Iamnotanugget · 23/03/2014 06:42

Sorry picnmix but Boots won't take back make up, even if it's unopened. It says so on the receipt .

I'm full of cold today and although dc2 was up half the night with a cold, needing my attention, he is magically full of beans now. How do children do this?

Well done with shoes Audit. I find Clarks either give exceptional customer service or it's really awful. There seems to be no middle ground and just depends which store you visit.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2014 07:19

Oh no! Oh well you would have had to buy make up at some point Sad

Shock Oh no!

No idea re sainsburys.

Sold the wii for £30 taking it later. Debating whether or not to use some of that money for a top up shop or just leave it as it's mainly stuff for dp I forgot

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/03/2014 07:57

He's got a vendetta against that bear.

ilovepicnmix I HAD to look up Jack Nano as soon as I saw the first post.

Egads! It's a cartoon character that Clarks use to advertise their shoes Shock. Your DS is being indoctrinated.

Turnoffthelights · 23/03/2014 09:09

Poor bear! He's clearly very loved!

Spendy-ish couple of days as we're away with family but not too bad as everyone has brought food and drink.

We've decided to go ahead with part of our roof repair, just paying for external repair work first before doing the internal plastering at a later date. 72 deposit cheque sent.

We'be got a squeaky clutch too. Sounds like a spring that needs oiling when clutch is released. I've heard that clutches can be super expensive to repair Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2014 09:44

Hmm I've got a choice of tesco express or Budgens for my top up shop Hmm probably won't be able to get what I need and it'll cost £££

Passthecake30 · 23/03/2014 11:08

Annoyed today. Spendy night paying for babysitter, drinks and dinner for dps bday (£70 in total)

For Him to have d&v at 6am....am blaming chiquito$...

Passthecake30 · 23/03/2014 11:09

Next year we will stick to Pizza delivery. ..saved money after all? ?!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/03/2014 11:47

£7.30 on too up shop. Tesco are so shit Angry got better value and stuff I couldn't get in tesco in the garage Confused

Ellisisland · 23/03/2014 13:44

Passthecake- hope your DH is feeling better

Have had a NSWeekend as took DS to the park yesterday and today he has been happily playing the garden. Got all shopping done on Friday so not had to get any food over the weekend. For some reason I find it easy not to spend money over the weekend but struggle during the week. No idea why

How is it nearly the end of March?! Shock

potbellyroast · 23/03/2014 14:12

ohhelp Shock at the Steiff -I'm with cadbury don't know a great deal about what things are worth but even I wouldn't do that.

passthecake hope your DH feels better soon.

Spendy day yesterday as had friends over so bought 2x bottles of wine £10, and coffee £4 at stupid expensive co-op as that's the only supermarket where we live. Knew one of the friends would only drink that, so ordinarily we would have gone without and I would have waited to buy coffee somewhere else.

NSD today though.

Need things for packed lunch for tomorrow and Tuesday before I get paid. Can anyone help me with a pasta recipe that uses chicken. Not been massive pasta fans in the past so I don't have a massive repertoire of pasta dishes. Was thinking, cook chicken breasts, fry some peppers, onions, garlic and mix with passatta and a few chilli flakes? Can anyone give me a better idea??
