Selling stuff on Facebook

Hello, I've seen a few people talking about selling things on Facebook, and I was wondering how to go about it. Is it best to set up a separate selling account so that your stuff just gets posted onto the local selling pages rather than all over your friends' news feeds, or is there a way round this using your own account? I've got a fair bit to try and get rid of so I don't really want to be cluttering news feeds up with pictures of baby clothes etc!

same as Preciousbane - there should be local selling groups to you... you sometimes have to request to join..

It is quite good to do Facebook for popular things though.. saves ebay fees etc.

I put on my status 2 days ago that I had newborn through to 6-9 clothes to sell if anyone knew anyone who might be interested. 2 days later 60 in my pockets for 12 outfits. 1 bundle so fare sold via local selling page.

I've just joined a few selling groups in my area. Kids stuff (high chair, stair gates, playpen etc) all sold like hot cakes. Love it. No fees and I can drop stuff off locally or have it collected. In 2 weeks made about £100 from stuff I no longer needed.

I think that if it's a closed group (ie one you have to request to join), then anything you list on it will only show on the group's homepage & not on your normal newsfeed, so no need for two separate accounts.

I found my local selling group just by putting the first half of my postcode into the FB search box.

What's gum tree like. Also can you sell on mums net as I have extra German schleich animals I'd like to sell. They so expensive new I didnt want to give them away. What's Facebook selling like. Is it safe
