facebook selling is the way forward!

Realised this morning i have a £47 phone bill due on 22nd no spare cash till 24th... so in 6 hours ive managed to sell two dresses, 2 tops, a pair of jeans and a brand new TT bottle warmer and have made.... £55! Phone bill covered and spare money put in DDs saving jar! Super proud!

How do you sell on FB? Someone else mentioned this a while back but I don't know how to do it

If you search in the search bar things like "for sale (yiur town name)" or "selling page (your town name)" you should find your local for sale pages then just upload a pic and description and away you go if they are collecting from me i dont charge extra but if they want item delivering locally as they dont drive etc i add an appropriate fuel charge (few pounds etc)

I usually put things on for a few pounds more than I want, I'm happy to then be bartered down and they think they've got a real bargain!

It's great isn't it? I've made a fortune this year although don't seem to see any difference in the stacks of unwanted stuff lying around my house . I was a bit naïve to start with, just handing my address out to everyone, but now I do, for example, 9am meet up somewhere local and get a few buyers there at the same time and that's a lot safer. It's also free entertainment for the fights and the greed . . .

I once had a lady wanting me to do a 30 mile round trip for a £3 item.

I list all mine as collection only, usually after dp is home just to be safe.

My best was a mid sleeper bed for dd that the lady delivered, for £25.
As soon as she confirmed the day, I listed the old bed frame for collection only and sold it for £15, so her new bed cost me a tenner!

I have a selling page on Fb and have done really well.

Unfortunately there are also alot of time wasters so don't count on that money until you actually have it.

Luckily they were all local buyers so i just took DD fir a walk round town delivered all items and got the money today! My wardrobe is relieved of several things ill never wear again, people have new outfits to wear for christmas partys and my phone bill is now paid wahoo!

I've not sold on mine yet, but have bought loads.
Got DD's BNIB 3DS for Xmas from there, a couple of mobiles, Converse, bags, DVD's etc. lots of things.
I'm at home most of the time so often get the best bargains by getting in first, can drive and live in the middle of town so easy to meet people or they are passing my house to deliver.
If you get a good reputation on the groups for being reliable, you can often get a bit of cash knocked off, as people would rather have a fiver less than risk a time waster.

I have also had some buying and selling successes on both FB & Gumtree. Last week, we sold a wardrobe on Gumtree for £30 - we had bought it 5 years previously for £25 & used it constantly, so we were pleased with that return

I have also just bought 4 pairs pyjamas, 4 jumpers & 2 pairs jeans for 5-year old DS1 for £8 total. If I'm lucky, they will also see me through DS2 & DS3

You do sometimes have to be a bit patient selling things - the wardrobe was on for about 3 weeks before anybody bought it, but it wasn't in our way so that was fine.
