Farm shop convert!

At least I might be...will see how the months pans out! For £26 I got:-
a huge chicken
4 Angus steak burgers
1lb Angus stewing steak
1lb minced beef
4 beef olives
1lb sandwich steak
1lb pork link sausages

Compared to what I pay in supermarket, I think Ive done well...or could it have been cheaper!!

I reckon I can get about 20 good sized meals out of it

now im not sure about farm shops. i live near quite a few and i can honestly say ive tried them all and im not impressed with the meat or pies or sausages even.
there is a huge one that i used to go to weekly then one day it struck me where is all this meat coming from........ i then saw it coming out of the back of a lorry.
i wish i could find a really really good one where the sausages taste like meat and the meat tastes like meat used to taste when i was a child. my uncle is a sheep farmer and his meat is amazing but i only get it when im back in ireland.
i must admit im back shopping at tesco and slow cooking the cheaper cuts of meat but im going to try morrisons who have a proper butchers for just meat.
we always got our turkey for christmas at the farm shop but this year im going to get it at a supermarket and see if anyone can tell.
