finding a better deal on insurance/utilities etc is the most boring job - I always look at it like this; If I was told to go sit in a chair for half an hour and I would be given £100, I would do it.

I find this highly motivating when I have to sit down and deal with this stuff.

I apply the same logic for any complaint letters I have to write

When I am debating on whether to treat myself or the children to something, I consider my hourly rate of pay and how many hours I would have to work in order to earn the treat. This also works equally well when I am feeling lazy and consider getting a takeaway. I very quickly manage to get off my arse and cook something. even if it is just beans on toast
