times are tough in the bagpuss house
for a big family BBQ tomorrow I bought a dress from a charity shop. my family will ask me where it came from as they won't have seen it before

I googled the label to see where it came from and its a matalan special

so do I say charity shop or matalan?

is it a sign of the times I bought a second hand matalan dress?

From a vintage shop.:)

Yup, it's vintage. Cut the label off to avoid further scrutiny

marriednotdead · 14/06/2013 08:14

Or eBay. I once got a proper vintage dress from there, 99p plus postage Smile

are people REALLY bothered about this? You saved a lot of money. What's not to like?

(and do people really ask where clothes come from? What a dull question!)

superbagpuss · 16/06/2013 08:01

my mum does

I said charity shop, as soon as they realised I hadn't been spending lots on myself conversation over

Vintage! I have a dress I bought in a charity shop which generates enquiries every time I wear it - I have no idea of the make it's just a jersey wrap dress. Actually I tend to be honest because people can't copy you if it's charity can they Wink
