Is Quidco really shit?

I recently got into this cashback thing (shame not earlier). I was googling something and there was an old thread on hotukdeals saying how shit they were. Have they improved?

we've never had a problem, but it does sometines take a while to get the cashback - |I think some companies take longer to kick the cashback to Quidco to pass on

LadyKooKoo · 03/12/2012 23:34

I think they take a percentage too or charge fees? I use topcashback. They are fab.

MirandaWest · 03/12/2012 23:35

I used to use quidco but find topcashback better

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/12/2012 07:57

I find quidco more user friendly than topcash but that's the blue and white colour scheme I think. Topcash is a bit tickerish.

I always check both as they dont always have the same offers.

Primrose123 · 04/12/2012 08:00

I use both, but I keep forgetting about them. They both pay out, although it can be a bit slow sometimes. I think TCB is free, and quidco charges £5 a year.

YouOldSlag · 04/12/2012 08:07

I love Quidco. We often use it just before we buys something i.e if we need a hotel we look up offers on Quidco first. It can take a few months sometimes to get the cash, but hey, it's money for nothing and it's a nice surprise when it pops into your bank account.

TrillsCarolsOutOfTune · 04/12/2012 08:21

I find that TopCashBack generally tell me that my money is tracking within 48 hours (it takes a while to go to "payable" but at least I know it is there).

They don't take an annual fee (QuidCo take the first £5 every year) and the money can come at Amazon vouchers with a 5% topup - which is good because you get more money and you don't have to give them any of your details if you don't want to, just the email address to send the voucher to.

By the way - that was a referral link - if you want a clickable link to sign up but you don't like me you can click www.topcashback.co.uk instead.

I've signed up for QuidCo too but so far I haven't come across anything that I want to buy where QuidCo has a better % payout.

TrillsCarolsOutOfTune · 04/12/2012 08:21

Oh, but to answer your question NO, neither of them are "shit", they are both very useful!

LadyKooKoo · 04/12/2012 12:38

Topcashback have always matched Quidco for me too. I always opt for the Amazon vouchers as it helps cover my Christmas present list each year. Only exception was Scottish Power where i had to go for the cash instead of vouchers as they didn't offer a voucher option. I got £42.42 just for clicking through the site to change to them.

Bakingnovice · 04/12/2012 12:46

Sorry for being thick but does it only work on offers advertised daily or can you search the site to see if what you are about to
Buy offers a cash back deal??

MirandaWest · 04/12/2012 12:51

You search whenever you're going to buy something :)
