I'm due a housing benefit payment on Wednesday. I've had a letter today saying my award has been reviewed and my new award starts on the 24/9. I'm a student and I knew they would review it every year, they have just used the same information I gave them last year.
Does that mean I'll still get paid on Weds? I understand that it's paid in arrears, so I should get it for August? My bank can't see that far ahead and the council offices are shut today.
I'm embarrassed to say that I'm skint and was relying on the money until my loan comes in. I've received no other letters, and the letter doesn't have any more information.
