Another vote for tesco daisy dishwasher loose powder here. Lets way longer than the tablets as you really don't need as much as you think. They stopped doing it in the handy large pouring bottle last time I went in and it was in a box instead which doesn't pour but luckily I had kept my bottle from last time so decanted it into that.
Great tip about the basic shampoo and conditioner, will definitely be giving that a go. Going on maternity leave after Christ and so things are going to be pretty tight!
Lidl beans and other tinned products are great, as well as their fruit juice, also tesco value and asda smart rice juice are fine, as is pasta and kitchen roll really good especially tesco value. Lido dry cat food is really good quality and my cat prefers it to both whiskas and iams.
Home and bargain baby wipes own brand 69p and fine. Tesco nappies are great, I plan to try lidl ones this time as well, we didn't have a lidl in our town last time I was pregnant! Lidl do great fabric conditioner, which has a watery texture, but the clothes smell gorgeous. Tesco and asda own brand washing powder are fine, but I love bold orange blossom and always stock up when it's on offer, usually a few times a year for the big 52 wash packs. It's the smell of heaven! Might go back to the non bio when baby arrives though.
Tesco daisy bathroom cleaner and washing up liquid are really good, but watch out for home and bargain, sometimes brands like harpic and Ajax are just as cheap in there. Same for oxo and bisto, nearly always cheap in h&b. They also do olive and vegetable oils at a very reasonable price.
