Hi, thought it would be a good idea to start this thread in these darks times!
Why don't we help each other out and share what we've seen on offer in supermarkets/shops - anyone with me :-)
I'll start:-
Hovis brown medium/Best of both white - 66p in Aldi
2 litre whole milk - 79p in Aldi
Pack of 10 large eggs - 99p in Aldi
Flora 1kg - £2 in Tesco

Aldi are doing a bag of new potatoes for 39p. They are very nice. You can get special "mats" off ideal world for putting in the veg drawer in the fridge for making the veg last longer. Lakeland might do a similar product too.

Johnsons wipes £1 at sainsburys

Daz washing powder 42 scoop box - £4 at tesco.
philadelphia cheese spreads £1 a tub at tesco
sugar puffs cereal £1 at asda
funsize maltesers/twix/milky stars £1 bag at asda

4 tins of branston baked beans for a quid in asda

Walkers 18 pk of crisps ( 6 cheese n onion, 6 salt n vinegar, 6 ready salted) - £2 - Asda

Big bag of baking potatoes - £1 - Asda

I got a massive pumpkin for a quid at Aldi today
Turkey Crowns are in now £9.99

Seasonal fruit and veg. English topfruit (apples/pears) are in the shops now and there are some good bargains. Bramleys for apple pies are only £1.30-£1.40/kg. Cox's are about £2/kg. French, Dutch and Belgian apples are also in season. French Pink Lady at £2.30-ish/kg is a much better price than the South African Pink Lady that's been there until now. Soft citrus (sats and clems) is now the Spanish crop so look out for bargains there. And bananas have never been cheaper, round about £0.52-0.55/kg, so fill your boots! British spuds, brassicas & root veg really good value at the moment - ideal for winter stews and casseroles.

Mature Xmas pud - in gold box - 907 g - half price £4.99
Iced Xmas cake - lovely with white icing and gold icing star and glitter on - half price £4.99 907 ish grams
Port - half price £7.49 (although it's half price every year) Port also half price at Co-Op at moment as well.

36 wash Lenor in new orange fragrance £1 in Asda today.

Asda - 2 bottles of Golden Syrup for £1 ( one bottle is £1.38!)
