Where can I find a letter template for Credit Card Payment Problems?

Hi,

I can't seem to find a link to a Template Letter to send to a Credit Card Compay (for my Mum) to tell them she is struggling to pay.

She has a Credit Card with NatWest on £6000, the interest is sooooo high that she has only paid £7 off the balance in 2 years!!!!

If you don't know a link, do you have any suggestions as to what to include in this letter. Do we ask for a settlement figure, or do we offer a smaller monthly payment?

Thanks for helping.

Christains against debt have a very good booklet that can be downloaded and includes letters like that.

To have only cleared that little off the Bal she must either be still spending on it and/or going over the limit/ making late payments.

If she contacts the Consumer Credit Counselling Service they will give her a reference number and print off her income and expenditure as proof and she can then post it off to the visa company. Hopefully they will then freeze the interest. They tend to take the CCCS extremely seriously and they are very thorough and informed. They can offer her a debt management plan and she can then have them liaise on her behalf or she can approach them direct. They do have a lot of clout so get them to do it wherever possible.

Good luck.
