We have a great butchers in our village and I try to use it as much as possible. Yesterday I thought I'd get some belly pork pieces for us all and marinate them overnight. I made up a sauce with honey, soy sauce, chinese five spice, pepper,garlic and olive oil and drizzled it over. We ate it tonight with buttered jackets, creamy cabbage and chunky carrots. Was lush
And such a bargain I'll be doing it again soon.
Our butchers also do big packs of chicken legs for £2.50 so will do something similar to them. I did liver the other week and the boys ate it although weren't over enthusiastic. I used lamb's though but apparently calf's is the best.
