Cut down worn-out adult sheets. As long as they're big enough to fit under the mattress, they don't need to be elasticated.

Otherwise: ebay/gumtree/freecycle

I got a two pack from my local tesco superstore for about £5 I think

RockChick1984 · 17/03/2011 20:53

I've bought some from matalan, think they were £5 for 2 as well

Asda. Good quality and good price.

Supermarkets are usually pretty cheap.

I'd get jersey ones if you can - ours have lasted brilliantly

Dunelm Mill - not sure how many of them there are throughout the country though. Very cheap but good quality and wash really well.

Plain White pillowcases tucked in. That's a cheap idea

Matalan here aswell. 2 kids later they're still holding up well.

Ikea v cheap.

I use spare pillow cases on my moses basket mattress, if you've got spare cotton ones that will fit your crib you won't need to spend anything.

I've bought cheap adult sheets to cut up. Anything with 'baby' on it seems to be more expensive!
