Anyone else with Covid at the moment and finding it severe?

Currently I’ve got a very bad case of covid. Unfortunately didn’t have the vaccine early this year. It’s the 2nd worst case of covid since the first one back in 2020. I’ve had it several times since then, but those really weren’t bad cases. I’m wondering if anyone else has covid and if it’s a bad one.

I’ve had it (tested positive) but it wasn’t as bad as previous bouts. Very sore throat day 1 and 2, had to stay in bed day 3, then sniffles/loss of smell for about 3 days. High temperature on and off for about three days. However, that was three and a half weeks ago and I’ve still got an annoying cough. Weirdly nobody else in my family got it. I was meticulous though about using disinfectant spray every time I touched door handles/kettle, loo flush (!!) etc and used separate hand towels.

I don't know if it's COVID as I don't test, but I do have a crappy virus. Cough - very tickly but also chesty, very uncomfortable, sore throat though that's mostly passed, temperature, nose that is intermittently fine, running like a tap or blocked solid. My voice has gone all pathetic and weedy and my eyes look like I've not slept for a week (I have, I'm knackered and sleeping lots). Been 5 days so far.

I had it 5 weeks ago. Started with a scratchy throat, runny nose, sore watery eyes, quickly developed over 24 hours to high temperature, D&V achey and loss of taste and smell. Oh and on day four I felt breathless.
The tiredness is awful I could barely stay awake. I’m 63 and had all the jabs offered. It’s not to be taken lightly

All those symptoms sound familiar. Coughing up half a lung now. It feels like a secondary chest infection now. Hoping that antibiotics help. I really don’t have two or three weeks available for recovering.

Think I've had it for 2 weeks now. Exhaustion, headache, sore throat, feverish then chilled, aching muscles and a bit of an upset tummy. I have the odd day or two where I feel better then it starts up again. Really fed up with it.

Our local Boots have run out of the test kits. The woman said there was a run on them. That might have been only 3 kits or maybe 20… I’m waiting to see if it makes the mainstream news. Currently not being reported by the BBC etc so maybe the cases will remain isolated.
