Face masks for CEV

I normally buy the Boots ffp2 masks but sometimes struggle with the fit of them, they don’t always sit tight against my face. I’m a bit overwhelmed with what’s online and ended up buying some poor quality ones from Amazon before, even though they of course looked good quality in the pics!

Can anyone recommend a reputable site and what mask that you use? Thanks.

We use 3M Aura ones from Medisave. They have a really good fit and have protected our vulnerable relative at hospital while receiving her chemo. Hope you find something that fits you.

I like Lainzhi duckbill (ffp3), but have also used 3m aura. The duckbill ones can look a bit strange, but I find them more comfortable.

If you want to try a few different ones, you could also contact a mask bank.

You can buy a few single masks of different types to try out from thefacemaskstore.co.uk, which is handy if you want to test different types before committing. The Opharm FFP3 ones are good. Medisave is another reliable site. For a better fit, the 3M Auras or Handanhy masks are worth having on hand, even if you mainly use ear-loop styles otherwise. They’re especially useful for higher-risk situations.

I wouldn’t bother with the cord locks from The Face Mask Store, though, as they're a rip-off from there for just ten. You can get a pack of 20 or 50 for less from trimmingshop.co.uk/9mm-x-6-5mm-silicone-cord-stoppers/. They let you tighten ear loops slightly and get a closer fit.
