Positive test after vaccination

I had the Autumn booster last week, then exactly seven days later felt the same symptoms as when I previously had Covid.

I had a test in the house and tested today (ten days after vaccination). It was immediately a strong positive.

Could this be because of the booster or is it likely I have Covid?

I did think that but was hoping not 😂😂 At least I have a valid excuse for going back to bed on this very rainy day!

It's Covid I'm afraid. Boosters tend to take a few weeks before they're fully effective I believe/you may have been infected and asymptomatic before vac. Rest up.

The vaccine doesn't contain whole live virus, it can't give you Covid.
