Vomiting with Covid

I suspect I have COVID - sore throat and aches started when I woke up yesterday morning. I then had three hours of vomiting in the night, as if a sickness bug. Has anyone else had this? If it is COVID, it's the fifth time I've had it and I've never had the vomiting before.

You can get vomiting with a cold and with the flu, or just a bug. Not sure it's limited just to Covid?

Yes both me and DH have had this with Covid previously, also it is quite common for children who have Covid to have gastro symptoms. There are other viruses around though that can cause similar symptoms so it may not be Covid. Just do what you would do for a vomiting bug, sips of fluid little and often, use a rehydration solution in water like dioralyte if it is really bad.

Gastro symptoms like vomiting and diarrhoea have been listed as potential symptoms since quite early on I think. I think it's more common in children but definitely can be a symptom in adults

Thanks very much. Yes, I suppose it could be flu or a cold too - I've never had vomiting with these before either. Seems better this morning on the gastro front so hoping I can avoid the rehydration sachets. I remember my college nurse advising ice lollies for hydration and a bit of sugar!
