Reinfection after 6 weeks

I have covid again 6 weeks after testing negative from my last batch. This is ridiculous! Anyone else?

I'm just at the tail end of covid. I tested because I hadn't caught it before and I don't normally get colds. It was pretty obvious something was wrong.

Plus I'll be visiting an oncology unit on Monday so I needed to know. I'll test again tomorrow to check if I'm still showing positive.

Because I am going to my parents' memorial service with CEV relatives including one with no spleen who called an ambulance twice when he got covid last year. I tested 6 weeks ago as I was going into a care home daily to see my mom.

What a dense question. Plenty of people still test for all sorts of reasons - there's a thread here outlining some of the reasons why, if you'd like to educate yourself.

OP I'm getting over a nasty bout of covid myself. I handy had it for almost two years previously but it was my 11th infection and I've definitely been re-infected within a couple of months before.
