5 weeks after covid ):

I tested positive for Covid almost 5 weeks ago and felt very ill for about 1 week and extremely fatigued for another week. I am still very exhausted and feel an uncomfortable pressure sensation in my chest area and my voice is still coarse and breathy. I also feel pressure in my ears and could go to sleep at 9pm every night.

Is this normal? Is it possible that I have some sort of chest infection? Why is my voice not back to normal? I have no temperature. Just feeling still weirdly covidy, if that makes sense. Any emotional stress tires me out immediately and I get the same physical sensation as I had when I was properly ill with Covid.

Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome. Many thanks

No that's normal. Please make a GP appointment.

Hopefully you simply have a secondary infection and antibiotics will clear it up.

I have ME/CFS and it started in a similar way for me. Hopefully it's not that.

Do you have any breathlessness or increased heart rate?
Definitely one for the GP, they should definitely check you over. Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you. Now I have to figure out how to make an appointment with the GP online. They don't schedule appointments over the phone anymore. I'll have it checked out.
