Covid or sinusitis or something else?

I've had a very heavy cold for maybe a week, pounding head, cough, soreish throat, yucky taste in mouth, but it has also involved earache/pressure inside ear, tinnitus, achy hips and muscles.
The earache was at one side but eased off after a couple of days, but it has now started in the other ear.

I do have sinus congestion fairly regularly but I've never had the ear/tinnitus pain, and it usually tends to improve when I use nasal sprays and have painkillers, however whatever I have currently seemed to get worse after I had started to feel a bit better.
Local chemist didn't have tests so I haven't done one, but curious to know if others have had ear pain, or should I be speaking to the GP?

Hey, yes. I ended up with a chest infection and antibiotics but they didn't help.
I just put up with it and it cleared up.
It was grim but the pressure and tinnitus in the ear was the worst part for me. Im still not sure whether it was covid related or something totally different.
Hopefully you'll be OK asap.
