Covid twice in 2 months

Hi everyone.
I wonder if anyone else has had this happen to them as I have tried researching and I can’t make sense of it (maybe it’s Covid fog brain).
I have in the past had 5 vaccinations as I have an underlying health condition. I had my last vaccine on 24th October 2023. I had never tested positive for Covid until I felt rubbish 28th November 2023 and decided to take a test as I’m a carer for an elderly lady. It was positive, felt rubbish for a couple of days and then got a negative test after about 4 days.
This morning I woke up with my chest hurting, head hurting and feeling very lethargic. I did not think it was Covid as I thought I would have immunity from my last dose. But decided to test anyway before I went to work. It was positive.
I am very unclear as to whether this is stemming from my November positive or a new strain. I don’t suppose it matters either way but am just curious.
I am currently in bed feeling sorry for myself.
Thankyou for reading.

There are several strains floating around at the moment, so yes it's definitely possible to have it twice in quick succession

Seems there are three different strains in circulation just now, and they are all good at escaping immunity, so infection with one strain does not provide immunity to the other two. Several neighbours had one strain at the end of November and a different one before Christmas.

Thankyou for your replies. Yes I thought they might be different strains, i have different symptoms as well from the last time, I guess I am just worried that this one might make me more poorly than the last one. So far just feels like I have a bad head cold but no temperature and no loss of taste or smell like last time.
