Anyone else lost their voice?

Been ill for about a week but really became unwell on Saturday, high fever etc… not sure if it was the tail end of a different illness or just took a while to take hold.

Anyway, when I woke on Saturday I had completely lost my voice (not in the hoarse, whisper way - total and complete loss). I can’t make a sound. 4 days of silence!

Anyone else had this and how long did it last?

One of the girls called in sick to work on Saturday because she’d lost her voice completely too, she’s was still croaky yesterday. Not too sure if she’s done a test but Covid has done the rounds within the team so it wouldn’t be a shock if it was.

A few have been really quite ill but most have so far recovered quickly. I’ve had a constant dripping nose like a tap and was feverish but again I didn’t test simply because knowing makes no difference when it’s so rife.

Yes. It was the strangest feeling, not being able to even force a whisper. Six weeks later and it's not fully back, but is mostly back. Got covid again now.

It’s back, well not properly back. But at least I can make a noise now. I probably couldn’t talk on the phone but can communicate a bit.

So 4 full days of no noise at all and now just a whisper a few sentences!

Still feel like shite though.
