Burning skin?

Has anyone had this with Covid? I have this burning sensation on the skin of my chest. My chest itself also feels like it's burning with all the coughing but this is a skin sensation. Burning/slightly itchy.

It burns so much I keep looking expecting it to be bright red but there is no rash or anything.

My face felt sunburned when I had covid recently.

LoveYouMummy1 · 10/12/2023 21:21

Did it look red as well @ihatethecold or just felt like sunburn?

I did
About 3 days before I tested positive, it felt sunburned and looked it.

I now have an eczema type rash all over me, especially over my eyelids.
I've never had eczema before.

@LoveYouMummy1 no just felt it.
the skin on my body felt hypersensitive also. I’m 4 weeks on. Still coughing but my skin feels ok again

@NC543210 when I got COVID in June 2022 I developed eczema around my eyes that took a year to clear up. I’ve had to work so hard to look after them so it can get better. I’ve had to be very strict with using face products with absolutely no fragrance or alcohol in them.
if you need a list or guidance just ask.

Thank you, this is a very weird and puzzling sensation! Let's hope it goes away soon! My cough is almost gone this morning

Yep, me and my daughter had this when we had Covid the first time. Patches of skin (mine was on my thigh) that just felt really odd - burning, tingling, sore.

LoveYouMummy1 · 11/12/2023 16:28

Thanks @LightSpeeds that's reassuring. I was starting to Google and wonder if I have inflammatory breast cancer or something as it is quite close to it! Obviously I'll get advice if it's still there in a few days but hopefully it's just a covid thing. Mine does feel just like you describe, burning and sore.

I have burning sensation in my upper arms and shoulders with long covid. Every time my symptoms flare up, this comes with it. I'm not sure it's just the skin though. It's like a burning ache/pain.

When I had Covid the first time pre vaccine I felt like this all over my top half. It was actually like sunburn my skin hurt to have clothes on.
I kept asking my other half to look for red skin but it looked fine. It was so uncomfortable.
