Third time unlucky!

I have covid for the third time, the previous twice (3 years ago, then again over a year ago) i've had mild/short lived symptoms. This time though i've been knocked for six by it! I had mild symptoms Mon/Tues, then yesterday I woke with an aching throat, then this morning I awoke with an aching chest, it's like hot pokers to cough. I don't have a fever.

It's bizarre - I saw the doc first thing today and i've been given antibiotics and steroids for my chest (i've never had steroids in my life!). I'd've thought I'd have good immunity after two infections with barely any symptoms. I can't believe quite how awful I feel this time! 😔 Anyone had a similar experience?

When was your last booster? A lot of the UK general public hasn't had a booster for almost two years. That will greatly impact the severity of your symptoms. Of course, this idiotic government refuses to follow the science, which would be to offer a booster to everyone every year.

Yes me too, I’ve just had it for the third time too and this time has been by far the worst for me.

I have it for the 3rd time right now too. At present it feels like a really nasty cold/flu bug so hoping that's as bad as it gets. I first had it over 2 years ago (and it left me with long Covid that I'm still struggling with). Then I caught it again in March this year when I was in Australia (so was self-isolating on my birthday etc grr) and now I suspect I caught it on a flight back from California earlier this week (the man next to me was very snotty and coughing).
