Dreadful “virus” but feels like Covid 🤷🏼‍♀️

Repeat tests negative though. I’ve had it once before and this feels like it again but I’ve done numerous tests and all negative. Also flown through my family in the same timescale the way Covid did too. Is it possible? Is there a variant not showing up on tests?

I wonder this too. Although it could be flu?

I recently had covid and tested negative even when I was symptomatic. Didn't get a positive until I was quite ill for about 3 days.

According to a doctor friend the existing home tests appear to be less sensitive to the current variants circulating.

I had a nasty virus with a headache that painkillers barely affected, nausea and mild diarrhoea, sneezes, runny nose and eyes and a lingering cough, but gave up testing after 4 days of negative results. Maybe it's some other random virus.

False negatives are quite common on lateral flow tests, and I’ve seen lots of people report not testing positive until quite late on in their infection. It’s also more reliable if you swab your throat and inside your cheeks (up by your salivary glands), as well as your nose. Rest up and I hope you feel better very soon.
