Relieving chest pressure after Covid?

Had Covid 3 weeks ago now. Was relatively mild at the time, I didn't even realise I had it as I kept doing the nose swabs then mum told me if all my symptoms are in my throat and chest to try swabbing my mouth, so I did and a bold red line appeared immediately. Was okay ish after, lots of rest but still managed a city break when I recovered. I now find the post covid symptoms worse than the actual covid! I haven't had the headache but I'm weak, breathless unless I'm resting, chest feels heavy after waking up and it's just a pain really. Any tips to alleviate symptoms? Have done the usual ibuprofen etc and really healthy nutritious diet but I feel awful!

Reanimating your post because I’m suffering this five weeks on.

I was abroad when I got sick with just a stuffy cold. Tested negative and it got slowly better over a week. Then came the dry cough and I’m pretty certain it was actually Covid because I’ve never felt anything like this before.

Five weeks on and I’m still dry coughing, going through a cycle of irritation that seems to get better, then worsens again. The cough itself isn’t that bad but the pain and pressure in my chest is really getting me down. It’s such a weird feeling and would make sense if my lungs were full of mucous and rattling with infection but they’re not. It’s just this feeling of pressure all the time.

I’m sure if I see the GP they’d just say my lungs sound clear and to wait it out but I’m feeling pretty hopeless that I’ll ever breathe normally again!
