Covid and flu vaccine

I'm on day 2 of a positive LFT and feeling rubbish 😞 I'm due to have a flu vaccine next week, but I seem to remember you can't have the flu vaccine if you've recently had covid (or at least this was the case for my elderly DGM last year).

Does anyone know if this is still the case?

I had both my vaccines yesterday and the doctor said that they give the covid vaccine even if you currently have covid as long as you aren't too unwell. I've not read the updated guidance but I was surprised. I used to work with the head of infectious diseases who gave me all my vaccine training and he said we only don't give vaccines if someone is ill incase they blame feeling worse on the vaccine. That was nearly 13 years ago though so things might have changed. Hope you feel better soon and can have your flu vaccine.

Thanks @CervixSampler still feeling crap this morning, but I did at least manage some sleep. I'm going to give the pharmacy a call today to double-check.
