Does this sound like Covid?

My friend has Covid. To be honest it had gone off my radar a lot. Last Friday I woke in the night and thought I was going to be sick. I thought I had eaten something. When I had Covid this was my first symptom, sudden nausea. This past week I have had quite sore legs, almost restless. I work out three times a week and put it down to a bit more intensity there. I also have insomnia and anxiety, not uncommon for me as perimenopausal but I didn't have it last month.

I'm on a very light diet (i.e. about 100 calories under maintenance) so no gastro symptoms, no headache, but I feel a little tired which I put down to calories. I was wondering when to test.

Nope, isn’t giving me any strong Covid vibes at all….

MistyTrains2 · 12/09/2023 05:39

Thanks @Aerin1999 ! Good to have a sense check.

No. I had it recently and I was very sure I had it !

YoSof · 13/09/2023 10:58

Could be.

I have it at the moment and one of my first symptoms was aches in my legs and hips. My ex husband also has it and the only symptom he’s had is nausea and sickness.

I feel more like I’ve got a cold today, fever and body aches, but it might be worth you doing a test.

MistyTrains2 · 13/09/2023 12:58

Oh god my legs and hips ache.

DH and I both had nausea, this time around. It sounds like, from your update, that you have caught it, though. If you want to be sure, you can get LFT from Amazon but take it easy, either way as it sounds very much like you need to rest ☕

SleepyJim · 13/09/2023 21:50

I would do a test. There's no point in guessing if your symptoms are or aren't covid.

MistyTrains2 · 14/09/2023 09:23

I did one yesterday and it was negative. I was fully jabbed (high risk groups) so I wonder if I do have it but have some immunity.

I feel very flat and detached today and was a little all over body achey when I woke up. Yesterday evening I got very bad visual aura. I feel like I have had a silent migraine for about 5 days. And my tinnitus is going crazy. Other than that I'm fine..

I’ve got Covid atm and I've Got the achey meh feeling.

PinkRoses1245 · 14/09/2023 09:42

Why does it matter? If youre ill, you’re ill

Tessisme · 14/09/2023 10:09

The only way you might find out is to test again, but even that isn't definitive. DP and I both tested positive last week and our symptoms were different. He was aching all over and coughing, with muscular pain in his back and was very fatigued. I had a headache and mild cold symptoms. My tinnitus went berserk! We always keep tests at home due to having an immunosuppressed child. Said child has symptoms, but is negative, so go figure!!

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 14/09/2023 10:36

That’s what both my Covid experiences have been like. No cough, not much snot, lots of nausea, insomnia and aching.

MistyTrains2 · 14/09/2023 10:41

@PinkRoses1245 cos misery loves company. I'll have no stoicism on my thread.

@ArseInTheCoOpWindow I'm positive for the 4th time, and it's the first time I've had nausea. It's absolutely awful, and keeps coming in waves. 100% not pregnant before anyone asks! How long did it last for you?
