My second time round. 4/5 of us have it right now in the family. Last vax was in December. My husband is experiencing it for the first time. I tested negative last night but bet it’ll start to show on tests today as high temperature, low in energy and sore joints. Last time it past without any lasting effects. Anyone feel worse second time round?

I'm pretty sure I've just had it for the second time. Didn't bother testing, TBH, but symptoms all the same (except I got a cough this time, didn't the first time). But, the first time I felt absolutely awful for at least a fortnight, & extremely iffy for another month after that. It was about 4-5 months before I felt normal again, & my sense of taste has still not quite recovered over 18 months later.
This time, I felt dreadful for about 4 days, & another week feeling tired, a bit headachy, mild cough etc. It didn't even occur to me it might be covid until DH pointed out I'd got identical symptoms to last time (plus a bonus cough).

Can't remember when my last vax was. Several months I think.

I have it for the second time. Very similar symptoms and onset, I kind of instinctively knew, test confirmed. It’s nasty. I’ve never properly got rid of the cough from last time so am quite worried how this will pan out.

Yeah second time round was awful and nearly 5 months later I've still got the cough that just won't go away. I literally dread getting it a third time.

Finally tested positive today. My first time was ok but hoping this second time isn’t worse🫣. I’m ok when on the paracetamol or ibuprofen but feel kak when it wears off

I Hope you get over it quickly. I’ve got horrible weak legs and now on day 3 in bed. I’m so envious when I hear of people having it being able to go about their business.

Hi I woke up with temp of 39.7oC. Was extremely tired last night and this morning. I’ve had drugs now so able to potter - just phoned in sick today. Hoping to be back tomorrow (work from home but knew I’d be gubbed this morning). Cleaning my sheets today to see if helps hasten things along. DH test now looking less dark but he’s gubbed as well. Is this your first time donde? This is slightly worse for me thus far. Think my temperature peaked at 38.3 last time

I tested positive yesterday for the third time

QueenofLouisiana · 26/05/2023 22:47

I tested positive yesterday, second time. However, almost all my symptoms are like a stomach bug so I’ve been ill for about a week.

Anyone else with a really dodgy stomach this time? Diarrhoea has been awful. Everything hurts.

roseopose · 26/05/2023 23:07

@QueenofLouisiana I haven't tested positive for COVID but two weeks ago I had the achy shivery cold feeling I got when I did test positive, cold symptoms and diarrhea then 2 weeks to the day exactly the same symptoms, awful stomach cramps and diarrhea. It came and went for about a week, some times of day I felt fine then stomach started twisting again. I don't know if it is COVID but the symptoms that aren't diarrhea are exactly the same.
