No smell or taste!

I tested positive for the first time ever on Friday.
Yesterday I noticed I can't smell or taste a single thing. Is this common? Is it likely to last a long time? It's awful!

I tested positive for the first time just over a week ago and was really ill with covid. My smell and taste are almost non existent too. I've still got dizziness and had a horrendous headache then vomited tonight. Just want to be back to normal.

I lost smell and taste completely just as I was recovering. That persisted for 2 weeks, then it began to come back. However 6 months on I would say I still have issues particularly with taste.

It happened to me last September, it lasted for a week and then my sense of smell and taste gradually come back.

It's been a listed symptom for 3 years now

I’ve just tested positive for the first time ever too. So far my taste/smell is fine but I feel bloody rotten.

Thanks all. The line is much fainter and I don't feel too bad just tired still but my smell and taste is still completely gone!

Lost mine similarly. Took a few months to return and even now 1.5years on some things taste and smell funny.
