Worried re long covid

Got covid apx 4 weeks ago and took/ taking ages to recover. Developed chest infection after 2 weeks, doc gave antibiotics.

I thought last week I'd shifted it and beginning to feel normal but I've been in bed all weekend, cough has come back and j feel tired with muscle aches, headache and just feeling generally shite.

Is it normal for covid symptoms to come and go when recovering or could this be long covid?

Feels like it will never go away. I can't take any more time off work, they've been fair about it and let me work reduced hours the past 2 weeks but I really can't expect much more leeway

its much too soon for it to be long covid, you've only had a chest infection 2 wks ago and these can knock you for six, often people go back to normal life too soon so give yourself time to get better

@BluebellBlueballs Are you me? Same. Been ill all weekend and added to the mix of cough, throat, aches, fatigue, I now get sickness and squits. Yesterday was so poorly. Today my son is cooking dinner for me and I will only be able to manage s tiny bit. Also scared that this is how it is going to be every time I get ill.

For me, I've never had lasting illness more than a couple of weeks tops. It's the cruelty of thinking I'm finally getting better and then relapsing that is doing my head in.

Especially last week I was telling everyone yay I feel normal again. Even at work which I now regret as they will think I'm malingering if I say I'm feeling grots again. So I'll have to just soldier on, luckily I can wfh tomorrow.

Hope you feel better soon @KathieFerrars
