I’ve been really ill the last three weeks with the worst constant cough I’ve ever had, it’s making me vomit how much I cough. I don’t seem to be getting better but not worse now thankfully. Constant bringing up mucus, sore throat, and now I’ve randomly got a runny nose.
I called doctors and been told virus, prescribed some antibiotics as I’m immunosuppressed.

because the cough has been so bad I did a LFT. I think I can see a very faint line, if it is a faint line does it mean I have Covid?

Is this a positive test?

Yes

BeardyButton · 21/02/2023 14:19

Yes

Sauerkrauted · 21/02/2023 14:19

Yes. That’s positive.

But why would you be prescribed antibiotics for a presumed virus?

I didn’t know it was Covid when I called the GP.

is it normal to feel this bad still after three weeks?

I have a 9 month old baby, and no help. DH works long hours so barely here. Is she going to get seriously ill? Ah what a nightmare the last three weeks has been so hard

I suspect you have had Covid for a while and this is it on its way out.

Mine were like this when it was on its way out. A very faint positive.

Yup

You've probably had it well over a week. Hopefully you've not been close to anyone vulnerable. I waited until I was completely negative and symptoms gone to visit a vulnerable friend again.

Kelmsy · 25/02/2023 21:56

Yep, that is a positive test.
