Covid and Unexpected period

Hi all
I've read tons of posts/information on how the vaccines can cause delayed periods etc, but wondered if anyone has experienced unexpected bleeding when covid positive? I'm on around day 6 of the virus and woke up to this today. It really does feel like the gift that keeps on giving at the moment. Sigh.

Yes, my period came about a week early when I had covid..its also been affected by each vaccine. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much for your reply it's comforting to know I'm not alone. I only came off 10 days ago although it was unusually light. Fingers crossed normality will resume soon!

I tested positive and started spotting

Yes! I had Covid over Christmas and my period turned up unexpectedly on Boxing Day (day 7 of Covid and day 17 of my cycle). It has been lighter than normal and dark brown blood rather than fresh/bright red... sorry TMI. I'm glad it's not just me because I've never had such a short cycle before.

I got my period about a week early - a few days into Covid.

So random isn't it? Thanks all, I know it's not great but nice to know that it does occur - one less thing for me to get irrationally worked up about!

Bumping to see if anyone has advice

Tested positive and my period wasn't due for 2 weeks
Now on day 15 of bleeding, and not spotting it's a proper period. Is it just a ride it out and wait thing?
