I've reported a positive result tonight on the website and filled in the 111 form
Is there anything else I need to do? I'm severely immunocompromised and eligible for early treatment

If you can reducing the amount of virus in the back of the throat with gargling and at the back of the nose might help reduce the amount of virus your body has to deal with in the early stages.
Use CPC containing mouthwashes and Iota carrageenan nasal spray (boots dual defence)
Enovid nitric oxide nasal spray appears to be effective but is very expensive.
Theres a new carrageenan spray developed in Birmingham UK that is supposed to be good too called norizite.
I know in the states (reading too much twitter) they have access to Paxlovid antiviral, I think it needs to be started early.
I hope that you are doing okay. X

I phoned my gp and they helped speed up access to antivirals.

I waited 8 days for antivirals. I chased it repeatedly via GP, 111, out-of-hours GP and local hospital.

Unfortunately it was a 'Don't call us, we'll call YOU if and when we're ready' situation. Eventually the local hospital called me and gave me an appointment for the following day.

I was grateful to receive the antivirals, but they came too late.

Good luck.

This person is doing their own research into pharmaceutical interventions to reduce the disease severity. You might be interested in reading. They seem genuine but I can’t see anything providing their name so can’t look them up unfortunately.

Finally sorted! It took a lot of calls but I have paxlovid sent via taxi to me and I've started it

Great result. Well done OP.

Do you mind me asking who you called?

Everyone!

I emailed my specialist and they got the specialist nurse to call me who told me to ring 111 or my GP
My GP said they couldn't prescribe them and nothing to do with them Hmm
Sent a 111 form online and got a call back 12hrs later and they sent a referral
Then the referral team called me and said I was eligible and the pharmacy sent the antivirals in a taxi

Tested positive 10.30pm and started antivirals at 4.30pm

Well done for your perseverance.

I wonder if 111 has changed its stand on antivirals, as when I had Covid they said they couldn't arrange them or refer me to anyone who could. This was despite the NHS website saying that they could. Repeated calls to 111 gave me the same response.

OP, I really hope the antivirals give you a nice boost in getting better quickly. 🙂

My mouth tastes disgusting but they did warn me about that!
The cough is ridiculous, once I start I can't stop and it's like a hacking cough. My pelvic floor is usually steel even when I had pneumonia but I've got stress incontinence from the cough now
