What you're supposed to do if you have covid? Isolate? How long for? 5 days? 10 days? Til you test negative? Am I being stupid?

There is no requirement to self isolate any more but I personally wouldn't go out and spread it around. When my dh had Covid I moved to the spare room but he had free run of the house - we were just careful.
Your work may have specific policies.

Personally I would isolate as much as possible, depending where you work, most places still ask that you stay off for 5 days and are testing negative on day 5, until you return. I know 4 people who’ve had it in the last 3 weeks, only one who works in a school had it mild, with just a slight cough, the others were pretty well laid off for 2 weeks.

Are you incapable of googling?

If you feel ill, stay at home. If you feel ok, carry in as normal. Just do as you would do for a cold.

CurlewKate · 17/12/2022 10:07

I just find the idea that I can have symptoms but still go out potentially spreading the virus to all and sundry as cases go up deeply bizarre. (Don't worry, I'm not going to!) I thought I must have missed something.

Well, you wouldn’t visit a vulnerable/old/unwell person if you were feeling I’ll yourself. So, really it’s no different with Covid. We could all be wandering around spreading it while feeling well, who’s to know. If you’re poorly, stay home until you’re well. It’s very straightforward.

Good to know that Covid's not an issue any more! Huge relief.
