Covid in toddler?

Hi everyone,

We saw my parents jags for an outdoor park trip last Thursday. They subsequently tested postitive for Covid, but has been under the weather for about a week before but tested negative on LFT. So when we saw them they were maybe on day 7 of what we now know was a symptomatic covid infection.

For the last two days my 18 month old has had looser nappies. Not diaharrhea but not far off. Bar less of an appetite for breakfast, he was otherwise fine. Today he’s fully ill. Runny nappies, vomited twice this afternoon, tired, clingy.

He does go to nursery twice a week and was last there Monday. Does this sound like it could be covid or more likely to be another virus? Can’t get a LFT test until later.

No idea where the word ‘jags’ came from!

It’s impossible to know as the symptoms of covid, especially in children are the same as a 100s if other virus.
