I tested positive last Saturday and still feel much the same except the ache in my knees has gone. I'm congested, sinus pain, headache, slight sore throat, backache, nausea, my eyes ache, chest tight, slight cough, knackered. I've been on the sofa all day every day. I'd have been in bed but have ds off with covid too and I need to be about for him. Endless tv every day 😩 Every day I hope I'll feel better but there's been no change. Please tell me when it gets better!

5 days very sick, then 5 days sick, then 2 weeks dragging my feet and unable to do anything as I had zero energy, then one morning I woke up and was fine.

Hi also tested positive last Saturday 😭and like you still fell like rubbish. I did think yesterday I turned a corner but no I fell as rubbish as I did when I first got my positive without the joint pain.. I’m coughing really horrible phlegm and now wondering is it turning into a chest infection 😭 I never want covid again

ThatGirlInACountrySong · 14/10/2022 11:27

Currently got covid, day 6 feeling loads better

Sitting around in the sofa all day did not help me at all. Made me worse

Short walk in fresh air helped
Small jobs around the house

Keeps everything moving and sinus issue cleared up more when on the move.

Maziemouse · 14/10/2022 11:32

Glad you are feeling good, I’m allowed out today we have to isolate for 7 days here, so I’m going to go for a short walk after kids come home from school.. I think cleaning the house yesterday took it out of me.

AlternativelyWired · 14/10/2022 13:43

@ThatGirlInACountrySong I normally walk 40 miles a week and am very active generally but I'd be pushed to walk to the corner shop at the moment. I'm having to do some things because I'm a single parent but they are wiping me out. I'm on antibiotics and steroids for my chest.

Tested positive last Saturday also. Still testing positive today 😭 and generally feeling meh. No energy and dizzy.
I have some pressure in my ears and already suffer with my sinuses so even though I don’t feel completely congested I’m 100% it’s not helping my dizziness.

tested positive on Thursday evening, slept all day Friday and woke feeling fine, not sure if I will get any more symptoms but the test which was a strong positive on Thursday is now a faint line, so I assume my viral load is lower and I am not as contagious. but if thats the case my symptoms were 1-2 days only x

SiobhanSharpe · 15/10/2022 01:07

Tested positive Thursday morning and slept/dozed most of the day. Slight sore throat, bit of a cough, head cold symptoms. Am feeling quite a bit better now (Saturday 1 am)
I had my fourth booster nearly two weeks ago.

AlternativelyWired · 15/10/2022 13:55

It's a week since ds and I tested positive now and we both have a fever for the first time today. I'm fed up of this now. There seems no end in sight.

Started feeling ill on Wednesday but test was negative. Felt worse on Thursday and tested positive. Went to my chest late Thursday so Friday wasn't nice but I do feel better today. Went for a walk today which was short but it didn't half tire me out.

Netflixandaps · 15/10/2022 18:07

I'm on day 10. I still have no energy and the body aches are driving me up the wall, so painful.. Headache still there, sinus pain yep... cough not as bad, no fever, but still nicely nauseous :-(

AlternativelyWired · 18/10/2022 16:29

I'm now on day 11 and after feeling much better last night I'm back to feeling dreadful. The GP nodded sagely to all my symptoms and the ups and downs and said it was very typical. I really thought I was on the mend last night. Bastard virus.

I felt absolutely awful for two full weeks. Tested positive for two and a half weeks. Then felt better, just really knackered for another couple of weeks (at least). Bastarding virus, lol

Furcoatandnoknickerz · 18/10/2022 16:56

I’m starting to feel the answer to your question is “ never!”

AlternativelyWired · 18/10/2022 17:14

I feel like that too and now have chest pain to boot. Really weird chest pain too not like a pain I've ever had before

I'm on day 6 and I "feel" fine, but I can't do anything useful without starting to feel dizzy / knackered, and I don't trust my body to eat without feeling sick again, or to do anything without feeling worse later. It's a really horrible feeling, all I want to do is ride / do chores and get on with life, but I just can't.

I am definitely not in the covid fan club. Bastardy virus.
