First time ever posting on here.
I understand that Covid affects everyone differently but it's just to get an idea really. Myself and eldest daughter have fallen foul to Covid. I am triple jabbed and it's my first time getting it. She tested positive on the Tuesday but was ill two days prior and got a negative on a lateral flow yesterday. I tested positive on wednesday. My husband luckily has not caught it. We have a 5 month old and she unfortunately did and spent a night in hospital and is now not allowed near me until I get a negative. She is struggling being away from me as well as still being under the weather despite my husband doing an amazing job. I am now on my fourth day, I've had it really bad but over the worst fingers crossed and just feel really bunged up. I am absolutely beside myself waiting to get a negative so I can be near my 5 month old. My eldest daughter is 15 so she is absolutely fine. Anyone whose had covid...how long did it take to get a negative? X

Why is she not allowed near you if you are both positive? Sorry if I've misunderstood your OP.

@CuriousCatfish they never actually tested her for Covid at the hospital. They are assuming she has it as she has never been ill but all of a sudden was really poorly with 2 of us in the house having Covid. They said at the hospital she has viral tonsilitis but more than likely it is Covid that has manifested into that so just to be sure she should stay away from me to recover as I've been quite ill.

I’m day 5 positive at the moment so can’t help with your question, but I hope you’re negative soon and you can give her a cuddle. Must be so hard for you 😪
