How long is it currently taking to start testing negative?

So I'm on Day 6 of covid for the first time and I'm feeling horrible, everyone else around me seems to have bounced back after about a week and I'm still having a strong positive on LFT.
I keep thinking I'm feeling better then start feeling awful and stuck in bed again from the afternoon onwards.
How long is it generally taking others to recover from this strain?
Thanks

Nearly two weeks, but it took a long time for me to test positive even after symptoms. I had it pretty mildly too, just cold-like with some other odd symptoms.

Recovery and symptoms are not necessarily an indicator of when a test will be negative again. Dd has had covid twice, the first time she had no symptoms at all (picked up on test due to being close contact) and she was positive for 10 days plus. She got it again with symptoms (albeit mild) and was negative after 4/5 days.

when I had it was negative by about day 8 but it was back when 10 days was still mandatory anyway.
