Anyone tested negative after only a few days?

Someone I know tested positive on Thursday after being unwell for a couple of days - they think they picked it up last weekend after being at a crowded sports event indoors.
They had another social event to attend yesterday (that I was at) and claim to have tested negative yesterday. Everyone I know who's had covid (back when we were testing to be allowed out again) has still been testing positive for at least 7-10 days.
Anyone else tested negative after less than a week?

Yes I did, but I didn't have any Covid symptoms & felt completely fine. I had to do LFT tests before each work shift & tested positive one Saturday morning (DS had been home all week with Covid, so although he'd been isolating I wasn't totally surprised. Work guidelines were that I should have a PCR test, which I had on Sunday morning. Still no symptoms. Wasn't sure when I'd get the PCR result, so boss advised me to do an LFT. Sunday evening as was due on shift early Monday. That LFT was negative. Half an hour later, I got the PCR result & it was positive. So I basically had Covid for a day & a half 🤷🏽‍♀️.

My son tested negative after 2 days, my dad was negative on day 5.

10 days for omicron but they might have caught it earlier than they thought, so not impossible.

My DS was negative within 4 days. It might have been less - we didn’t test him before that. My DD was 7 days. My fil was less than a week. Maybe 5-6 days. And a work colleague was only 2-3 days but she was asymptomatic so could have been positive for a while. I was 8-9 days I think.

My 14y old DS was positive for a few hours! I had it so we were testing them morning and night, as required by schools etc at the time. He tested positive one morning and had a slight temperature, no other symptoms. When we tested again at about 5pm, with 3 different types of test, all negative!

Different brands of lateral flow tests, not types.

My DS was positive for one day. Negative with symptons for three days, positive on two tests on day four, negative ever since.
