Are all boosters now the bivalent version?

My DS (17) has only had two primary vaccines and not yet had a booster, although he qualifies for one. If he was to go and get one now, would it be the new bivalent one or the original version? Does anyone know please?

My 16 year old got a booster at the weekend. They asked if he wanted to get the booster now or if he wanted to wait a couple of weeks to get the new version when it’s delivered.

My ds (16) just had his first booster and it was pfizer, like his first two.

Mine didn't get asked that -what did yours say?

We're currently only giving the Spikevax bivalent to adults, not under 18s. I don't think the Pfizer bivalent will be under 18s either, but we haven't started using that yet where I am. We have separate clinics using the original vaccine for the children.

Just checked, the Pfizer bivalent will be available to 16+

Thanks very much for the info. I think we might hold off a few weeks, he’s 18 so anyway and if he’s going to have the booster I’d rather it was the new one.
