COVID + DD is negative: should I keep her off?

Hi all I'm embarrassed to admit I don't know the answer to this after the past three years. I currently have COVID (mild symptoms), DD has so far tested negative for the past three days.

Do I need to keep her off school as long as I remain positive? The school doesn't have a policy on its website and the Government guidance says only that a child with COVID should remain at home if positive.

No the child goes to school unless the child is unwell.

I think we're advised not to test the children anymore either unless advised to by a hcp. You really don't need to test your child "to see."

No send her to school.

We had Covid in the house a few months ago, and the schools policy was that children should continue to attend school unless the child themselves tests positive.

OK thanks all. Quite a relief tbh as she's just started Year 7 so I could do without it. It just seems weird to allow her to go forth with her schoolmates when there's COVID in the house!

Yup it's completely normal now.

We have the same conundrum but my DD is 4 so I’ll need to take her, is that also fine?!

Legally yes, though i'd find someone else to take her ( or at least pick up even if they only walk her out to your car) if you can, or at least wear a decent mask.
