Covid after splenectomy

Does anyone know how this is supposed to be handled? DD has tested positive and has a fever. She rang the health service advice line (not UK) and they were a bit 'meh'. But I thought any fever needs checking out after a splenectomy, especially covid. I'm worried sick.

She's been sent to hospital. I know I'm being ridiculous but I can't stop crying. I keep telling younger DS that it's my hayfever playing up.
