Tested on Friday and was positive

Am i free to go out now and not worry about infecting anyone ?

Could be a false negative
Although you don't even need to test these days

alnawire · 07/08/2022 22:00

When did you test prior to Wednesday?

lljkk · 07/08/2022 22:00

(elderly vulnerable) Fellow I know in a rehab centre had similar, he was sent home as soon as he tested negative. But he never had any symptoms at all.

Sorry prior to Friday I meant? It's not clear if you tested on Wednesday/Thursday

greysanatomyy · 07/08/2022 22:14

No I didn't test till Friday as I thought it was just a cold.
Then Friday I had a temperature so I tested

So it might not be over as quick as you think. You could have been positive for days before Friday.

I first tested positive on Saturday. I was also positive yesterday. I did one this morning and it was negative but I then did another one and it was positive.

so it might be a false negative.
