Please tell me it won't be so bad - I'm going on holiday in a week and am absolutley gutted.

NO you haven't your immune system is shot, you're shedding covid cells. Go buy some metatone, vitamin C and rest

AhaLyn · 06/08/2022 21:47

@justasking111 you can get separate strains in this amount of time and the data is limited on the immune system response built up (or lack of) after having had the latest strains. Bad advice.

Not myself but not daughter had it twice within 6 weeks so it is possible. I had everyone tell me she simply couldn't have it twice but she did. I also believe she had it in earlier 2020 so she's potentially had it 3 times.

the first time she actually tested positive was when she caught it over Christmas, when me and her dad had it, tested positive for 10 days despite not really having any symptoms at all, then negative after 10 days.

5 weeks on, most of her class had and she was exposed to a lot of it. I didn't think she would get it again but she did and it was mild cold like symptoms but totally fine. She was negative within 5 days.

it's a bizarre virus . I reckon she picked up two variants but in her not poorly at all.

I hope you feel better soon.

Oh no, I hope you don’t feel too poorly. 😞
My DH tested positive yesterday and we are also meant to be going on holiday next week.
