I want to know this too. I was going to ring 111 later. I'm on day 5. I feel fine except for a bad cough which shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. I'm still getting positive tests. But being told that does not matter now.

So we don’t need to test from that then?? I had a positive test too today and am on day 5 which just makes me feel uneasy going out. Before when I had it it was go out after 10 days and don’t test again as you can be positive for a while???

These are the minimal government guidelines. I would not go out on day 5 with a positive test.

hilbil21 · 04/08/2022 10:50

That's the guidance because you can still show as positive but the main "contagious" period has passed.

ColettesEarrings · 04/08/2022 11:58

There's no legal requirement to test or isolate in the first place anyway Consequently there's no need to test to end a self imposed isolation either.

Technically you don’t ‘have’ to do anything anymore.

Its all guidelines, none of it is enforced unless individuals or companies decide to enforce it.

Everything is now down to personal responsibility.

As it should have been all along.
