Congested throat/nose

The only thing that's making my partner and I cough. Is our throat congestion and we are having to clear it.
My partner even seen quite bad with it but I don't feel too bad just clogged up too in my throat.

Someone said we might need antibiotics. But my chest is fine and he said he okay.

Anyone have that after bad cough, sore and then cold?

sorry for the late reply - just seen this. Exactly what I had and during the night my throat felt like it was closing up and I couldn't breathe due to the stuffy nose!
horribly chesty cough as well
I lost my voice completely for a couple of days and still have hoarseness now a month after my first positive LFT

I've still got a mucousy throat 16 weeks on. I've found gargling with salty water helps.

I've been told I've got long covid. The throat thing and breathlessness are my main symptoms.

I'm asthmatic too so that's not helping.

Gargling with the salt water though helps to break up the mucous apparently- it's vile though

I make a small glass with warm water and teaspoon of salt first thing, gargle with it a few times a day (only need a small sip) and I gave some mints ready on standby
