How long does the cough last?

I tested positive 10 days ago and got my first negative test yesterday (yay)

It has really floored me and I am still headachey and exhausted and got the worst cough that will not settle. (particularly bad when I go to bed and try to sleep laying flat)

How long does this cough last? It burns down my chest every time and even after I can feel a tightness in my chest where it sits. It's very uncomfortable and reminds me of bronchitis.

What are others experiences?

Hi Enko. I'm on day 6 with quite a bad cough. Luckily Ive had no headaches but struggling to shift a high temperature.
How is your cough now? Is there any improvement?

I spent Feb half term in hospital and I'm still coughing now.
DH and DS caught it same time as me and their cough was gone within 3 weeks!

I’m a month in and chest is still a bit congested but cough is much more sporadic now.

Unfortunately the cough can last a good 4-6 weeks but it may well pass faster. Get well soon

Still coughing a lot that much it woke me up during the night last night and dh too.

Headache still bad and I still feel like someone is pressing on my chest. Tiredness is something else I manage so little.
