Blood when blowing nose

Hi, I flew back home yesterday from our holiday and have had a bleeding nose everytime I blow it. I did a covid test and it has come back as positive. Anyone else had this symptom? I am also slightly wheezing. What is the best thing to take?

Yes I have had this all week! I had no idea if it was part of Covid or if It was due to the heat but I thought perhaps it was Covid, I am day 6 now and it's gone :-)

@Justdancinginthedark do you mind me asking if you did a PCR or just a lateral flow, it said lateral flow will not work with blood so I bought a saliva test instead!

While I was wondering if I'd contracted covid, I had a nosebleed which stopped quite quickly. When I stuck the test swab up my nose the next day it started bleeding again. I got another swab and the sample from the other nostril was enough to test positive.

Could be coincidence.

They saw LFT are invalid and can cause a false positive with blood in the sample but I found it never made a difference (doing the tests, especially in the days of daily tests seems to make my nose bleed), constantly negative until my first positive ( which I repeated with the other nostril which wasn't bleeding and was still positive).

Dp had nose bleeds with covid, only really on the first day though!

Yes, both myself and DP had blood when blowing our noses when we first got Covid. It stopped after a few days.

Sorry I am only getting back. I'm on day 9 and nose has brown blood when blowing and still blocked. I got a result on a lft. Did another test this morning and still showing positive but it is very light. The first test was with the throat and nose swab and today's was just the nose.
