Scuba diving after mild covid

We have a family dive holiday booked starting 4th August, in Italy. DH and I are qualified divers, but it’s more than 15 years since we last dived. Our two boys are 11 and 14 and due to do their open water. DH tested positive for Covid on 26th June and me on the 9th July (first time for DH, second time for me). Both mild - sore throat, very tired, headaches, upset stomach.

I’m struggling to find consistent advice as to whether we are safe to dive. It’s complicated by the fact that it’s happening right in the middle of the bloody holidays. We are British, we live in France, we are diving in Italy. We are currently visiting family on holiday in the UK, have only 2 days back in France before travelling to Italy, and it’s impossibly difficult to see a dr (mine is on holiday for a month by the time we get back), never mind find a dive medical doctor. I don’t even know what the rules are for dive médicale in France. It also appears that all the different dive organisations are taking a different approach - and the advice is changing all the time.

anyone have any experience to share?
